Clubbing and theatregoing

Back from the sin city。 I had fun winning and losing money。 Yes，I am a gambler。 I hate to admit that but it is true。 I was so addicted that I spent almost two whole nights in casinos。

Went to a club on 46th St。 last night and left there at 12 – not because I was afraid the Cinderella spell would be broken before midnight。 I just didnt want to stay。 Yes this is yet another sad discovery: I was not interested in clubbing any more。 Not even a bit。 For the first time I didnt get myself a Long Island Iced Tea in a club。 But I do miss that dirty place on Gong Ti Dong Lu (工体东路，East Workers’ Stadium Road，a nightlife hotspot in Beijing)。 I miss Beijing again。

Also went to a film。 The Band’s Visit，a France-Israel coproduction。 About the loneliness of human beings and the impossible task of warming up each other。 I love the songs，very thoughtful，poetic and elegant Arabic or Israeli songs。 And Chet Baker’s My Funny Valentine。 The film is playing in only two US cities，the other being Los Angeles，and in New York，it is shown in only two theatres。
